Who is Asteroid Precision Rifles & Silencers?

In 2016, Rodney Beveridge, the owner and operating manager of APR&S, left the ranch life of South Dakota to pursue a lifelong dream of building precision rifles that were capable of out of this world accuracy. What would I call these rifles or my company. I settled on Asteroid Precision Rifles because I knew I could build rifles and components that were “Ballistically Out Of This World.”

I always had another goal, I wanted to build a rifle that I, myself could put 3 shots from a cold bore, into a 10” paper plate at a mile. That journey began in 2017 at the 1 st World’s Longest Shot Challenge at Valdina Ranch in Hondo, TX. I had yet to even shoot a mile prior to that match and ended up winning 1 st Place in the 338 and Under division with a 338 RUM I built a couple months prior to the match. I had hits at 1760, 2000, 2200, and 2400yds. Game on!!! Shortly after that match, I started picking up sponsors, such as Zeiss Sports Optics, Lehigh Defense Bullets, as well as a whole slew of others. I was in the Extreme Long Range game in its toddler years, helping to evolve it into it’s present-day grandeur. After graduating from that 338 RUM to a 375 Cheytac (copyright & trademark owned by CheytacUSA) that I again built with my own 2 hands, I was able to do those 3 shots on a 10” Plate on several occasions and shot groups on match targets that would have easily fit in it as well. In 2019, I finished 7 th out of 80+ of the supposed best shooters in the world at the 2019 King OF 2 Miles.

While all of this was going on, as well as competing in National level F-class events almost every weekend, I had another goal. That goal was to design a suppressor that was unlike anything else on the market.
Something that was lightweight, easy to clean, did not affect accuracy (other than point of impact shift), was tunable, and was affordable. After 5 years of development, the now “Lil Dipper” was born and put into production. This suppressor got the ball rolling and led to the development of the “Big Dipper”, our 30cal and under suppressor which is a fully modular design that can be configured into 9 different  configurations. It comes standard with 3 interchangeable end caps so you’re essentially getting 27 suppressor configurations in one box. We also saw a need for an affordable, well-constructed 50BMG suppressor that was not only effective at reducing sound, but that would still tame the recoil of that big beast. Our Galaxy 50 model does a tremendous job at both things without breaking the bank.

Look for the new “Orion’s Belt” centerfire suppressor that will be being released near the end of 2025. This model will be of the “Big Dipper” design but will handle all calibers from .338/8mm all the way up to 50
Beowulf. We are also working on a few pistol specific designs that should be released in 2026.
